Natural disaster

Looking for answers on what we officials can do after a natural disaster.  We have officials who have lost homes.  We have a team that is going to go far in the State Playoffs (Cardinal Newman of Santa Rosa) who doesn't have a campus.   There is so much smoke in the air, that school has been canceled for the past three days, in three county's.   For those of us who have games, we are donating our fees to the ones who lost homes.  I know a few of you have dealt with Hurricanes.  Any advice would be welcome.

A wonderful gesture to donate game fees.  Following the flood in Columbia, SC, some officials donated their game fees, others sent voluntary donations to the league office to help officials who had lost their possessions in the flood.  It may not be much, but every little bit helps.  Other schools could also volunteer their equipment and facilities for those affected to use.

A touching thanks, guys, for your donations. Many of us look at our officiating as a hobby and it's great to have a hobby that you get paid for. When community disasters occur, it's great to hear of your help with your "hobby" money. Giving back to your community some earnings from the enjoyment of being involved in our great game certainly deserves accolades....
