I know everyone learns differently, but I just wanted to see some ways that people study the rules. One goal this season is to get better at the rules.

We have a group that meets once a week starting just after the super bowl and we meet till about June.  We have a miniature football field about 3 x 4 ft complete with yard lines and mini flags and bean bags and we will take questions from the various rules tests and lay out the plays on the field and work our way through like that.  Being able to have a visual of each question helps a lot.

Here is the field that we use for our study sessions.  If you look close near the 30 yardline we also have a coach.  ;D

Those are made from dimes.  Apparently someone needing some spare change and took the officials.  ;D

Here's a rules board game developed by Danish elite official Frank Kristensen: http://www.rulesfirst.com/. Really fun to do but I don't know if it is still updated.

[AD]I launched www.ruletool.info (free, 'enriched' NCAA rulebook) and www.ruletest.info (quiz generator) (free trial), have a look if you like.[/AD]

Here's a link to some videos of our clinic in May with Carl Cheffers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VeSKoX4H1o&index=3&list=PL9V_dZjrWeg3572Od-JEFTQQ7pJ_lGy3x. In the first one I discuss 3 rule test questions, the others show Carl :) More coming!
