Title: New ‘150’ CFO patch

Does anyone know anything about the 150 Year patch this year. Is it replacing the CFO arm patch this year or is it going on the chest/somewhere else?

I heard it is going to be on the other arm (I forget which side the CFO patch is on)

I don't like the smitty logo on the breast simply because it gets confusing with the position letter on the pocket.

I don't like that either. One of my Back Judge shirts has the extra "S" logo on the chest.

Supply and demand.  The best way to stop manufacturers from putting their logos in conspicuous places is to not buy them.  I bet other manufacturers will be happy to sell you their shirts without logos on the breast.

Except that Smitty’s is now the supplier of D1 uniforms, replacing Under Armour.

Ben outta FBS (D1) too long.  Are they exclusive?  "In my day," no one had exclusivity.  If so now, is Smitty's doing something to earn exclusivity?

Looks like Honig’s has shirts with the patch available.  Probably others, too.  As it should be in America, you have choices from among competing suppliers.

Well, the times they have a-changed.
As it turns out, Smitty's has a 3-year deal to provide two shirts, pants, a cap, and a lightweight jacket each year to all FBS conference officials.  So, that is the trade-off FBS guys get, in exchange for having the big "S" on their right chest area.  That's the "deal."

Each conference is free to strike their own shoe deal.  One (maybe more) is aligned with Nike. One (maybe more) is aligned with Under Armor. 

I remember getting free shoes from Adidas and Reebok, along with an assortment of hats, gloves, undershirts, equipment bags, etc.  But never shirts and/or pants.  Sweet.  Except for the "S," I suppose.

I'm not an FBS guy so I contacted a supplier and asked if I could get the new Smitty BodyFlex shirt w/o the "S".  They told me no.  I'd like to get that new fabric but I'm not sure I'm up for advertising for Smitty that prominently. 

I got two patches with my CFO packet.  Now how to attach them....

About 30 seconds with a black sharpie will do the trick.
