Replay Procedures

(1/1)

TampaSteve:
R comes to the sideline and looks at the screen with a headset on.
There's a replay person in NY and with the crew on site.
Knowing this, is the R adding his imput to the play in question?
If not, why is he looking at the screen? (i.e. like MLB umpires - who are only communicating via audio/headset)

Likely to make it easier to talk about what the replay person is looking at. If you've ever tried to provide IT support over the phone without getting to see the other person's screen, you'll have an idea of how much easier it is to communicate if you can see what the other person is seeing.

Amen.
