Congrats to the Greenies.  I wonder: How many on this board know what you’re referring to?

Good point, 'Bama, this will date myself but :
Red Auerach was the Celtic coach from 1950-1966. As a home game appeared won, he would light up a cigar in the Boston Garden. For those of you that are cigar aficionadoes, it was a 60 ring Churchill with a Madro wrap. At 11:18 last evening, I puffed on such in my man-cave.

My daughters and a couple of their cousins are currently in Beantown. They went out to get themselves some cannoli and saw the Celtics coach cruising up and down the street with the trophy.

It must have been crowded as an estimated 2,000,000 watched their parade.  :o In the ole' days , the celebariton was limited to Red throwing a box of Blackstone Cigars into the stands  tiphat:

As I recall, the Royals were lead by Jerry Lucas and Oscar Robinson. In one of those years the Royals held a 2-0 lead over the Celtics in a 5 game playoff. In pre-game 3 interviews, Red Auerech -with his feet upon his desk and puffing a cigar - "We're not worried, the Royals should be worried AS THEY NEED TO WIN ONE MORE GAME  8] !" The Celts went on to win the next three over the Royals and then another four over the Lakers for another NBA Championship.

I'm old, too  yEs:
