What do you have in NFHS on this play?

A touchback.
-
Yep, touchback, kick never ended because it was never possessed.
-
Great example of rules as they relate to NFHS vs NCAA & NFL.
-
TB in NFHS, although we had a BJ call this scenario on a punt once a TD that ended up being the deciding score. A kick is a kick.

Had a state finals crew call a muffed punt into the endzone a TD. That crew has not been back to state.

NFHS - Touchback, one very upset K coach, and a whole hell of a lot of boos from half of the crowd.
-
Had that happen here three or so years ago. Home team was K on a punt and R muffed it into the endzone. K thought they had a touchdown and the head coach was flagged when he wouldn't listen and came out on the field to protest. Another case of the NFL making OUR job tougher.
