Anything new with anything
« on: April 26, 2012, 10:53:15 AM »
This is the deadest I have ever seen this board.  Is there a new board out there that everyone is going to?  Is there nothing going on with the UIL we can trash?  Are all of you just catching a lot of fish and not telling me?

Over here loaded with work because of disappointing Q1 earnings.
Corporate cutbacks-increased travel with as limited spending...
Rurmors and suggestions from market analysts for corporate to sell and spin off division..UGH!
Increased my territory and travel and responsibilities - of course pay remains same...
As for FB - Got on Spring game list waitin' for that.
Plenty of 7 on 7 going on now but work has me strangled!  :bOW

I'll throw something out there, any predictions regarding the new rules changes and whether or not the UIL will follow them?

They would have to go w/new KO rules, helment off etc - Safety issue.
I expecting a last minute pay revision from them-which wouldn't be surprising though.

Same thing here with me. Just working 7-on-7 and semi-pro games. Trying to keep fresh for the start of the season. Who all is going to the state meeting?

You mean you guys aren't aware of the fact that three TASO officials have been invited by Tony Timmons to participate in a UIL rules meeting (to discuss which NCAA rules to follow, which to ignore, etc.)? Das pravda.

I think that meeting happened last week.
I hear we should be getting the UIL Exceptions within the next couple of weeks.

I believe it has, or is happening, today.

Might have been Tuesday. Definitely not last week, though.

I'm taking it that the "3 Wise Men" who got the invite to  tiphat:  :bOW Manor Road to have an audience with the  cRaZy Dancing Monkey, probably didn't live in the Metroplex, or for that matter, didn't exactly hold any lofty positions with TASO. I'm richly thinking that  cRaZy Timmons probably had to have those individuals come down there in order to read the rule book to him!   z^

Any news on the TASO patches? Have they even been designed or just on the wish list?

It's baseball season. I worked one season of 7 on 7 last year. That was enough for me. I'll see about tagging along with a crew on a spring scrimmage but that's about it.

I have the 2012 UIL Rule Exceptions and will be posting them on here shortly in a downloadable PDF file.  I am working on it now.

These appear to be only the new rules and the exceptions to those, not the complete UIL exception list.

Best regards,

Brad
