NC Football Officiating - Entry Level

Hi, I am seeking information regarding the entry level steps to get involved in football officiating, at the the youth league or middle/high school level. I am retired, live in Chapel Hill and very interested in the necessary education and training to become a ref. Working on a chain crew or just being able to observe at the field level would certainly be very helpful and educational as I work toward the ultimate goal. Thanks for any insight you can provide!
