Basketball Officiating Camps
« on: March 11, 2012, 09:03:57 PM »
If you are aware of planned basketball officiating camps, you may post that information here. Be sure to include dates, primary camp focus and contact information. Attach a copy of the camp brochure and application, and/or a link to a web site, if available.

I'll start with this one:

The 10th annual Arkansas Basketball Referee Camp will be held in conjunction with the Forrest City High School team camp, at the Larry Bryant Municipal Sports Complex, on June 19-20, 2015. The Sports Complex is a fully air-conditioned facility located on Highway 1 South in Forrest City.

The camp will focus on basketball officials who have a strong desire to improve their level of High School officiating, and will stress 3-man mechanics, with an emphasis on NFHS rules & philosophies. You will be provided classroom instruction in addition to floor evaluations by veteran officials. Every game will be video taped and critiqued by the camp staff.

Note, this is a high school camp geared towards developing high school basketball officials in the state of Arkansas. Collegiate basketball supervisors will not be in attendance.

Download the attached camp brochure for additional information.

"Gentlemen, we are going to relentlessly chase perfection, knowing full well we will not catch it, because nothing is perfect. But we are going to relentlessly chase it, because in the process we will catch excellence. I am not remotely interested in just being good."
