Last night’s ATL/PHL game, second to last play. Defender latches onto the receiver before the ball is thrown, flag comes out, and it’s signaled illegal contact. What exactly is the difference between illegal contact and holding?

if i'm not mistaken:
holding is defined as the same for ncaa or hs.
illegal contact is 'chucking' the receiver beyond 5yd from LOS
