Mountain East Tryout/Application Process

I've been working college football for a few years, and I have enjoyed it very much. I've had a mix of club, junior college, and Division 3 games, but I am now looking to join a conference staff at the Division 3 or Division 2 levels. Most conferences in my area either conduct tryouts or have an application process, where one sends an application to the assigner.

The Mountain East is different, because there is a link to apply to officiate in the conference on the conference website. https://mountaineast.org/sb_output.aspx?form=4

It isn't clear if there is a camp or clinic where Gene Steratore would look at officials on the field, or if there is a different process. If any of you are in the Mountain East, how did you get in? What is it like working there?
