Any PA guys out there - the PIAA has just approved short sleeves and black pants.  Knickers are still optional.

We used the black pants here in Tx
I had our crew last year use them and they are used here in Houston for varsity.
I have both weights.
The lightier summer version is not at all bad in the 100 + degree gametime Sat afternoon games in late Aug and Sept. Even the humid Friday nights.
Seems the looser fitting allows air flow...
Prefer them over knickers and those "supp hose" "calf cutting" socks.
Our requirement is black socks with the pants.
We are going to a black bean bag this year.
Wonder how that will work on all the field turf games we do...

Rsquare, we were wearing black pants here in Houston for subvarsity also. I was pushing for them with my partners over knickers at the end of the season.

Arkansas doesn't use shorts - period.

We switched from white shorts to black shorts last year but no stripe.

I've got a half dozen or so knickers I need to unload to a good home.  We're done with those.

PA banned shorts around 1995-ish.  People can still wear them for youth games and other non-PIAA sanctioned games.

I know a dealer that has 300 pair he'd like to unload. You might as well hang on to them; they're dead. I seriously doubt there will be a game played in the US with officials in knickers beyond 2013. 2014 at the latest.

IA just joined the rest of the world and is allowing black pants for any and all games.  They are not mandatory until 2016 though.

We're still using knickers for a few games this year and I am finding myself in need of a new set as mine are getting a little worn.

If anybody can score me a good deal on some new ones,  I'd appreciate it!
