The governor of Maine has issued a hibernation order...ie...STAY AT HOME UNLESS YOU ARE AN ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEE ON YOUR WAY TO AN ESSENTIAL JOB P_S!. We will be able to go to the store, to our doctor, etc. BUT if one is just out for a cruise on the road to nowhere, or on the way to a nonessential job P_S ,the fine is $ 1,000 P_S . This will cause issues for many Mainers, Here's mine :
(1) I'm a financial planner, my job is nonessential, my clients can figure out how to spend their soon to arrive $1,200 check;
(2) My office is 30 miles from my home;
(4) "Ole' Dell" is a desktop model and stays put in my office;
(5) I won't be able to chat with you folks during my hibernation which ends when the governor sez' OK.
While I feel that the act is necessary, I'll miss my contact with you for a while. This goes in force tomorrow - I assume the governor didn't want it to start on April Fools' Day !
