There is an 0-10 team in Houston going to the playoffs.

Indiana has an all-in tournament so every 0-9 team makes the tournament. Match-ups are determined by a random draw within a 4 or 8-team sectional so it's possible for 2 0-9 teams to play in the first round. The home team is also determined by random draw so a 9-0 team could travel to an 0-9 team in week 1.

I've seen 2-8 teams from brutal districts (and non-district schedules) make it from 6 team districts. This was a 4 team district where a playoff birth was assured.

I have called the 0-10 team about 9 times during the past 7 years.  During this time they have had 4 different coaches.  Why is everyone making a big deal out of this?  They are playing the hand they were dealt.  Let the kids play.  It is not the UIL fault they screwed up on this.  With all of this being said I bet they get a win within the next 2 years this coach is legit.

Coby, it's just surprising that a team who hasn't won a game in the past 54 outings gets a playoff game. I understand the mechanics that caused this, but it is still a bit unusual, no?

That would be funny if they got on a roll and made it to the state championship.  We had a team in our area get in a few years ago with a 1-9 record.  They made it to the Quarterfinals.  Got on a winning streak just at the right time.

In NorCal is mathematically possible to make the play offs with 3-7 records, I can't remember it happening. Most of leagues are 6 teams. Top two make playoffs. 5 league games 5 non league games. You can loose all your non league games. They are only used as part of the tie breakers.
