In stylish blue, no less...

Rather feminine, I'd say.

Oddly enough, B was the only obvious one I saw sporting that radio. There was a shot of one of the deeps from behind and it looked like he sported a conventional O2O.

A Yapalong wouldn't work with conventional radios, its range is in the 900 mhz band.  (Similar to cell phones.)  Maybe it was a case?  I admit it looks like one of their 5000 series.

We have one guy that invested in a set.  I've used them a couple of times when I've worked games with him.  It takes a bit of getting used to the open conversation.  It made me self-conscious of talking to my chain crew.

I've obtained some Motorola DLR's to use next season off eBay.  They work in the same band, license free.

It shouldn’t be open. There are open headsets and PTT headsets. Whoever has it should get the PTT.

In Maine, some crews use radios, most don't. This upcoming season it will be required to have radios to work the state championship games. 'Spect more crews will have 'em by then.  8]. I have a radio and listen to it when boating at our cottage. While listening to the Red Sox, I'll sometime yell at it when the sox make a bad play.  :puke: It don't talk back, so 'spect I ain't gonner be on the field on championship weekend  :-[ . Doing the clock in the press box is much warmer  :P. Ayuh, 'spect so.  yEs:

Fine, but for $1500+ a set, (4000 series) I can come up with a lot cheaper for as good a quality.
