Several years ago, last week of the regular season, I worked with my regular crew on Thursday night then took a put together crew to a rivalry game on Friday between two teams who knew they would not make the playoffs. My crew consisted of a rookie in his first varsity game and tree guys who seldom got a varsity assignment and were being thrown a bone by the assignment committee.
