A Thanksgiving thanks....

As we move into Thanksgiving Day, we all probably have a laundry list of things to thankful for. Here's mine:

..Thanks for my good health and comfort

..Thanks for my energy to continue my officiating hobbies

..Thanks for my friends and family, for their love and kindness

..Thanks for living in the greatest country on our planet  

..Thanks for living in a state with seasonal changes 

..Thanks with keeping the Maine winters warm with excitement of the Celtics and Patriots 

..Thanks for the assumed  spread  my sister will have for us all tomorrow 

..And thanks to all of you guys for making every office arrival an enjoyable one - I first check my messages, then I check to see what you've got to say...

Hey, you never know, after a really great Thanksgiving dinner even a firmly closed mind might be opened a little, with the right kind of persuasion. 

During a Colonie Yankee - Massachusetts Red Sox (minor league) game, my young son was cheering for both teams. When I (good naturedly) suggested he couldn't do that, as young sons are prone to do, he asked why?  Stuck for an answer, I had to resort to, "It's in the Bible".

Not sure he bought that, even then. Is your sister up on her scriptures?

My sister was taught at a young age by her big brother (me) that the Yankees were sorta' like the Gritch that stole Christmas, as they were always stealing the Pennant form our beloved Red Sox.

She recently reminded me if the day back in my daze of youth when I traded a Mickey Mantle card for on of TED LEPICO -a utility infielder of our Red (then) Flops.

Sometimes ,I think more with my heart then with my brain...
