I regret to inform our forum of the untimely passing of Coach Ricky Scearce, who collapsed after an apparent heart attack during a girls softball game in Aldine on Friday night.
Ricky was the epitome of what a true coach should be. It was my extreme pleasure to have had him as a coach in my 30+ years on the football and basketball venues. His presence and always positive demeanor will be greatly missed by those of us so fortunate to have gotten to work with him.
Prayers go out to the Scearce Family, and to the entire Katy ISD Athletic Family. We have truly lost a great one!
