They had gone publicback in the '80's . I was Equitable's manager for Maine. My employees bought me 10 shares as a Christmas gift. I recieved a small dividend every year along with a Prospectus. It showed the payroll which was larger for retired/traded/injured former players than for active players.  'Tis more fun to watch 'em then to worry about 'em.
