The governor of Maine has issued a hibernation order...ie...STAY AT HOME UNLESS YOU ARE AN ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEE ON YOUR WAY TO AN ESSENTIAL JOB
!. We will be able to go to the store, to our doctor, etc. BUT if one is just out for a cruise on the road to nowhere, or on the way to a nonessential job
,the fine is $ 1,000
. This will cause issues for many Mainers, Here's mine :
(1) I'm a financial planner, my job is nonessential, my clients can figure out how to spend their soon to arrive $1,200 check;
(2) My office is 30 miles from my home;
(4) "Ole' Dell" is a desktop model and stays put in my office;
(5) I won't be able to chat with you folks during my hibernation which ends when the governor sez' OK.
While I feel that the act is necessary, I'll miss my contact with you for a while. This goes in force tomorrow - I assume the governor didn't want it to start on April Fools' Day !
