I found this device out in the back room.  It's quite odd.  You push the button and the floor moves like a conveyor belt.  I did some research and apparently you are supposed to stand on it and then press the button and walk.  I'll try that tomorrow.

I would not have minded being considered "non-essential," as long as that included an edict that our clients would have to be patient and wait until this is all over for us to finish designing their new schools, etc.  But that didn't happen, and as "professionals" (Architects) we are considered essential.  Yes, we could have voluntarily shut down, but our clients made it clear that - even though they are all home watching TV, they still expect their construction projects to remain on schedule.
Not whining (or, am I?).  Lots of work.  Lots of fees.  But, our employees seem to all want to "work from home," which reduces productivity by about 85%. Seriously.  We're all spread out, and we keep things clean, so, no real reason to work from home.  But they see all these other people doing it, and they think they should, too.

If I could just clone myself...

If I stay home much longer, I will figure out how to fold a fitted sheet!

If you are non-hi-tech (like me) and keep your address book in book form, try to call some friends every day - you'll find they'll have the same cabin-fever as you and will love to chat. I started from the back of my address book first (Zs) as others doing this will probably start from the As and may never get to  the XYZs. I try to call 5 per day and am now up to the Ss. IF you are hi-tech, I'm told that you can even see the person that you are talking to. Give it a try... it will give you a Feel-good moment.

The lack of sports is a bummer (as the hippies might say) , but you can still relive some of their thrilling moments. ESPN had a 7 hour special on Tom Brady....I watched it  8]. They later had a 5 hour special on Paton Manning.....I didn't  ::) . NESN (New England Sports Network) runs many Red Sox replays. I haven't seen them lose yet   :o ! Our hunting dawg gets walked more now, where we can only get close to our 4-legged friends.

LOOK FORWARD TO WHEN NORMAL RETURNS....LOOK BACK AT NOMENTS YOU CHERISH....LOOK AT KEEPING MIND & BODY ACTIVE FOR NOW.  tiphat:

At this point I'd settle with an assignment to go referee a paint drying contest.

Impact that coronavirus could have on our game......

With social distancing the neutral zone would need to be 2 yards wide.
2 yard spacing between all players would fit even if ball was on the hash (side zone is around 18 yards).
All plays would have to be from shotgun so QB could distanced from snapper.
All field goals and PAT kicks would have to be drop kicks so kicker and holder don't get close.
With less than 2 yards to go, chain crew would allow lead poleholder to adjust away.
Player's mask under his facemask may be of team's color.
Masked officials would use an air horn in lieu of whistle.

.......WHOOPS , I FORGOT ABOUT TACKLING AND BLOCKING WHEN THAT 2-YARD HALO WOULD BE BROKEN....

YOU GUYS CAN TAKE IT FROM HERE..... :)

There was once a time where we would drink water from a bottle that was touched by hands that we can only imagine what they were exposed to.  No more water at games?

With the frenzy, mask use mandatory, recovered people testing positive again, possible rebound of the curve in late summer or early fall there may not be any games to have water at.

Hope I am wrong!

I've been told that football is such a big deal in Texas that we'd play thru a nuclear attack.

There really are a lot of questions.  Some people think the season will start in October.  Some say it will be in the Spring.  The college presidents have already said that if the students do not come back in the fall, football cannot go on.  Reason being these players are student athletes.  The colleges have to keep up that facade.  I would not be surprised if they figure out a way for D1 BCS schools to play.  D1 FCS is more questionable.  I will be surprised if there is a D2 and D3 at all.  These are just my guesses.  Below is the latest from SI.  They have had some good reporting on this.

If the NCAA cancels, it is doubtful any high school will go forward.   The liability would just seem to high in this age of lawsuits.  People in Indiana said the Indy 500 could never be moved from Memorial Day.  Guess what?  It has been moved.  This is truly like nothing we have experienced in our lifetime.

Being a baseball umpire as well as football,  I've always felt like the two sports should switch seasons with each other.

I’ve said this for years.  No heat-related problems for football, no cold-related arm problems for baseball.

There was once a time where we would drink water from a bottle that was touched by hands that we can only imagine what they were exposed to.  No more water at games?

There even once was a time when we  would drink from a water bucket. Everyone used the same ladle and all lived to tell about it. The major concern was : "DON'T GO IN THE OCEAN TO SWIM AS YOU MIGHT GET POLIO! " After practice the coach would throw a stack of towels on the locker-room's floor. There was never enough for everyone, so some would either use a used towel or nix the shower. We all lived to tell about that, too.

I have a clinic with the coaches on May 8 via ZOOM, so at least football is being thought about. Hope it continues....

Back in PCV (pre-corona virus) my wife and I often visited Chinese eateries. The Chinese servers took our order  eAt& and got it correct. That may have been caused by me pointing at the pictures.  ;)
