A's ball on the A40. As A1 drops back to pass, B engages in a tirade of offensive remarks toward A.  Flags fly for USC. A1 throws an interception which B returns for the score. Administration?

A can accept the foul for B's USC on the try or subsequent kickoff.  Score for B counts.  No different than a A player taunting as he crosses the goal line.

Thirded. 8-2-4. Either team has the try or kickoff option if the other team commits UNS or non-player fouls during a down that results in a TD.

That part is easy. The hard sell to the coach was that in his mind B didn’t get the ball “with clean hands” because the flag came out before the pass.

in his mind

No place you wanna be.  Just another one of those "he'll just have to scratch his mad spot" moments.

SELL TO A's COACH : "Coach, he got the ball with clean hands, but not a CLEAN mouth. His lack of sportsmanship had no baring on the play, which stands. Now you can choose for their try from the 18, or their kickoff from their 25."

"Coach, BY RULE an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty is enforced from the spot where the play ends.  Since the play ended in the end zone, you can make them take it now and have the try from the 18, or you can make them take it on the kickoff from."

Once again, that's the easy part. The hard part is getting him to believe you know what you're talking about when you tell him that. He be like, "That's nuts! They fouled before they got the ball!"

"Coach, their type of foul  was just talk and had no baring on the outcome of the play. BY RULE, they will pay for it with a try from the 18 OR kicking off from their own 25. Which would you wish?"

The absolute BEST we can do, is explain the ruling correctly, and patiently.  Whether or not the Coach chooses to accept your explanation, is entirely up to that Coach, as is his responsibility as to how respectfully he chooses to deal with any disappointment.

Yep.  And I will keep pointing out USC fouls are treated differently, and that's the rule, and that's how we have to enforce this.

The hard part is getting him to believe

At some point that becomes a "him" problem and we go back to playing ball.  If he wants to persist, demonstrate it best by flagging him during live ball action and enforcing it afterward.

"See how it works now, Coach?"

Lol that’s great. Would probably escalate the situation but it’s still good.
