"The game that jumps out is Leander vs. Austin - wonder why Austin wouldn't have this."

Just a guess on my part, but since the Austin High coach was ejected from a game, and it was a long time in coming from what i understand, he wants to "pay back" Austin by going elsewhere.  The UIL suspended him for the next week, from what I was told.  I do believe the Austin Chapter refused to supply a chain crew because a chain crew from the Central TX Chapter is going there.

Sometimes it is hard to believe we are all grownups.

You are correct Doc. Sour grapes from AHS and a season full of whine from LHS. Part of the problem with one coach was he complained that Austin had not complied with UIL registration.  hEaDbAnG  After they rejected our chapter from doing the game, they called back and asked for a support crew. When our secretary told him no, he hung up in a huff. Also, the story is not finished as there might be fallout next season. No one here is losing sleep and look forward to the games that will come our way. eAt&

How did the chapters do this week "outside of their normal area"?

Dallas didn't get any love for 5A.   Especially frustrating is none of the big 4 games at Jerry's world on Saturday.   Just a few years ago, all but Trinity were Dallas schools, so Dallas would have gotten 3 of the 4, now zip.

5A-I
none

5A-II
none

4A-I
Smithson Valley vs. Cedar Park (big game)

4A-II
Cedar Park Vista Ridge vs. SA Alamo Heights

3A-I
none

3A-II
Brownwood vs. Bridgeport

2A-I
none

2A-II
West Rusk vs. Rogers

1A-I
none

1A-II
Mount Enterprise vs. Baird
Chilton vs. Era

I'm personally sitting at home this week, waiting for that later round game.   Anniversary is tonight, so going to enjoy a big steak at Bob's and drink a little vino.

SA has  11 total, including  5 out of area games, Tomball-Austin Anderson, San Angelo Central-Arlington Martin, and several lower classification games (2 which being played in San Antonio),

"Smithson Valley vs. Cedar Park (big game)"

This is a huge game for the area.  I'm going to go watch it since it is just a few minutes from home.  SV is always good.  CP is huge and fast.

Doc, would be nice to get an opinion on the crew after you watch the game.

From the sheet, it looks like DAL got a 5A-II at Jerry world on Friday night.  Teams werent an area covered by DAL though.

Something i find, well, i guess interesting is the word.

Trinity v Allen, Duncanville v Coppell etc, neither used a DAL or FTW crew, and instead went out of the area.

What would cause that?  This is more of a curiosity then anything else.

Trinity & Duncanville use FTW and Coppell & Allen use Dallas. Pretty typical that they go elsewhere for Officials. I think the Coaches feel like the other guy might be getting an advantage if they use their regular season Chapter.  Both games used Houston. I was at the Trinity/Allen game and thought the crew did an outstanding job.

Friday night's game was both Dallas - Mesquire Horn vs. Rowlett

Doc hit the others on the head.  Rarely will one school use another school home official, so they go to a neutral chapter.   Don't you know that we all cheat?  (at least that is what the coaches think).
