Post by: StripedOutlaw on July 30, 2012, 10:36:45 AM
Has anyone seen the 2012 Rules on PDF yet?

PDF? Heck, in Missouri we haven't even been sent our hard copy rule books yet.  Sometime in the next week we are supposed to be receiving them.  The states' online rules review goes live on Wednesday.

If you do a google search you can find it. I found it yesterday. Like the previous poster said, in Missouri we don't have our books yet. Things that make you go hmmmm.....

I have looked everywhere and can't find it yet.  Utah has not sent out books yet and I would like to study some before I take the Part 1 test which is due Aug 18

I thought NFHS said they were no longer going to put out a PDF version....

NFHS has discontinued pdf's due to copyright violatipns.   Rulebooks are supposed to be on The Arbiter now but so far its still 2011.

Got the rule book. Our association raised dues this year in part to include NFHS membership. One reason they stated for adding NFHS membership was having online access to rule books and case books through the Arbiter. Not very happy that NFHS hasn't placed the 2012 books online yet.

I'm an individual member, NorCal, and this will probably be my last year.  They killed off the old Fed forum, linked their new forum to The Arbiter which only allows me to log in without an error message once in a while.  They got rid of the pdf's and The Arbiter can't pull off the technology to update to this season. The OfficialsQuarterly is dead.  Only remaining benefit is liability insurance.

...The OfficialsQuarterly is dead...
OQ can be found online (NFHS Officiating Central Hub) in Arbiter. It is available to all dues-paying members although not formally called Officials Quarterly anymore. I know the Fed is trying to work with Arbiter to fix some of the issues HLinNC brings up, but I fear Arbiter is pulling the strings, rather than the Fed. I guess that's what happens when you get in bed with the only show in town.

I checked it Rulesman and the only  OQ I see is archived print editions.  The NF hasn't published an edition since last year that I know of.  If you are talking about the articles on the main page of the hub like Hydration, meh.

The Fed surrendered the officiating end to The arbiter née' NCAA.  Its rather obvious nobody gives a rip so we might as well dump the Fed and get on board with the NCAA.

You are correct on both counts. PM to follow.
