Atlanta, GA—Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Commissioner Gregory Moore recently announced the hiring of Alicia Walker as Coordinator of Women’s Basketball Officials and Tony Greene as Coordinator of Men’s Basketball Officials.
“We are pleased to welcome Tony Greene and Alicia Walker to the SIAC. Their impeccable credentials, coupled with their reputation for integrity, will no doubt make them valuable additions to the conference,” stated Commissioner Moore.
Walker has been a college basketball official for 13 years, currently officiating for several Division I conferences including Atlantic Coast Conference, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, Southwestern Athletic Conference, Colonial Athletic Association, Southern Conference, and the Big South Conference. In addition, Walker has officiated in several NCAA Division I tournament games and conference tournaments. She has also officiated on the Division II, Division III, and NAIA level including the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Walker is a graduate of Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medical Records Administration.
Greene has been an official on the collegiate level for 23 years, beginning his career as an official in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Currently, he officiates in the SEC, Big East, ACC, Conference USA, Big 12, Sun Belt, Southern Conference, Atlantic Sun, and the Ohio Valley Conference. Greene has also been an NCAA tournament official since 1996, officiating in six Final Fours and four NCAA Regional Finals.
Greene is a graduate of Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts.
