As more and more of us get game film through Hudl, I have noticed that it is really hard for many people (myself included) to control the interface efficiently when reviewing film as a group (with your crew during pre-game, or in a clinical type setting).
As I was researching buying a Hudl remote, I was dismayed by the range in prices ($60-$300).
But, as luck would have it, the Internet abides.
The story below was published 2 years ago, but its about two young enterprising students from a D3 school in Indiana developed a free mobile based solution for exactly this problem:
http://footballscoop.com/news/dont-have-a-remote-to-use-for-watching-film-two-d-iii-players-have-developed-a-free-solution-for-coaches/http://www.nohuddleremote.com/I played around and got it working earlier tonight and I think it will make a huge difference in watching film with zero out of pocket cost.
If anyone else tries it out, let me know how it works for you. (or if you have a better solution).
