What NCAA/NFL rules do you want to see in NFHS?
ncwingman:
Since we get the usual complaints every year about NFHS adopting rules just because you see it on TV, how about going the other way. What TV rule do you really want to see adopted in NFHS?
Personally, I would like to see the concept of the uncatchable pass wrt pass interference. 7-5-11(b) covers contact away from the direction of the pass, but when a high school QB airmails a ball 20 yards too long or way too high and it lands out of bounds, it feels cheap to bail them out with a DPI call that had no bearing on the play.
Unless you want to argue that a ball thrown into the stands is "away from the direction" of the receiver, even if it passes directly over his head... just 10 yards too high. However, that would fail the same test we use for intentional grounding and having a receiver "in the area".

How about adopting the current NFL kickoff rules!? ;D
Ralph Damren:
The 'uncatchable pass' has been on the docket several times over the years, but never went very far. We feel that7-5-11c...Contact by B is obviously away from the direction of the pass....is enough for a 5 man crew. Besides, some QBs never throw a catchable pass . :)
HLTN:
All facemask fouls 15 yards.

Adopt NCAA clock rules outside of 2 minutes in half. (I’m not in favor of the Zap-10 nonsense)
All PFs include AFD, including DPI.
Receiver who steps OOB, re-establishes, and is 1st to touch pass = incomplete pass rather than IP.
