Title: Possible targeting in Orange Bowl
Post by: Tobbe56 on January 08, 2014, 04:29:41 AM
I found a situation in the Ohio State - Clemson game that I found interesting.
Coach Meyer is obviously upset with the call, but should he feel lucky instead that his player didnīt get thrown out of the game?

Is the runner short of the line to gain?

I cut out the audio to get rid of the annoying commentators

Iīd love to hear your opinion

Definitely a 9-1-3 targeting foul. Too bad we can use replay to add that  :sTiR:

I think the runner was OOB before reaching over the LTG. First and 10 for B after assessing the penalty. Cross field mechanics should have helped out

I think cross field mechanics would be ineffective at determining when the ball carrier went OOB.
