For NCAA 7-man, is there a standard mechanic for when we are set up for a field goal and...
(a) the kicking team shifts out of a kicking formation into a regular scrimmage formation?
(b) there is a bad snap and the play breaks down or they go right into a fake?
Specifically, what should the S, F, and B be doing on this?

B and F get wide on the end line ASAP.

Who has goal line? Does the SJ stay in?

Inside 20, L and H willl have GL, B and F get to their sideline at the end line. S will have to officiate from inside out. If snap is from 20 or out, F and B need to get to their pylon. Clearly a topic that should be covered each pre-game.

I would suggest that the H has the GL from anywhere. The L should also be prepared to get to the GL. If the F is there fantastic. There is a high probability that the F can get cut off by players. I believe that the B should hold the EL.

As relates to snaps from 20 and out, Fatman brings up a good point. As long as the ball remains behind the NZ the B should hold the end line as there is the possibility of a pass into the EZ. Once the ball crosses the NZ and a legal pass is no longer possible, the B should be free to get to the pylon. The H should always be prepared to cover the GL in the event B gets tied up and cannot get there.
Obviously we are trying to cover a less than ideal situation and we are one deep man short. The most important thing is to have a plan - any plan is better than not having one.

I seem to recall that a FBS conference places the S on the goal line when the ball is snapped outside the B-20.
