Title: Coaches Selections

We have our yearly coaches selections tomorrow. Does anyone else do them this early?  I kind of like it being done this early.  It gets them out of the way and allows you to make plans way in advance.

We do ours the week between the regional and state track meets.  Our coaches seem to like it that way as it does not interfere with the start of summer practice.

Ours were done just after the redistrcting in March!

DFOA (Dallas) does theirs the first Wednesday after April 15th each year.

Houston is always the 2nd Tuesday in July.

Most chapters allow the coaches to draft crews to work their games

The Rio Grande Chapter conducted their 1st Half of season Crew Selections on May 21st. We "do" half season selections so that Coaches don't feel like they need to select crews early on and are "stuck" with a crew for the entire season, should things not go as planned. The second selection will happen in late September. It seems to work out well for everybody.
