Title: How to mess up a football game
Post by: rickref on May 30, 2014, 09:01:28 AM
A long time ago I saw someone either at state meeting or a clinic give a presenattion on how to screw up a football game. If you have that can you post here or pm.
Or...submitt one or two things for input here. I am going have something similar to this presented at a chapter meeting this year.

Wasn't it Bible that did that presentation?

I will start:

Show up late- coach now agitated
Do not have a Pregame with crew
Be arrogant during meeting with coaches
Call that illegal formation on first play from scrimmage

You guys can fill in some more blanks

Couple years back I had my LJ drop a flag for sideline warning on the opening kickoff. Made for a long night.   hEaDbAnG

Years ago, I worked the clock for a Lone Star game at WTSU. That crew did the same thing. Must have had a history!

As was mentioned, it was a Jon Bible production.  Very good one.

I don't know if there is a copy of the presentation out there but he did do an article for Referee magazine with same title

I have the presentation.  It was called 20 Ways To Screw Up A Football Game....and shorten your career at the same.

I don't know to post it from my iPad, but I can email it to someone to post. Just pm your email address.

Here is the presentation. I had to convert it to a word doc and then to pdf to get it to fit.
