Title: Minimum Time For A Play
Post by: SJ_2010 on June 08, 2014, 10:05:51 AM
On Question #4 for the CFO Test I do not like either answer.

On 1st down Team A gains 5 yards and on 2nd down they spike the ball. The next down should be 3rd, but that isn't a choice.

Rule 3-5-2 only applies when the game clock is stopped and will start on the referee's signal.  So, B is not a good choice either.

My answer is A 3/5 @ B-20 clock starts on the snap. Is there a typo?

Yes, should be third down.

If this is like other tests in the past; this is a typo and answer A would be the answer you would need to mark to get it correct on the test.
