Talking with some coaches at the school I support and they had a couple plays they wanted me to ask you all about. They are wondering about the forward movement of the QB on these two plays.

I'm not an official though I try to be very educated about the rules and not wind up in the "From the Coaches" thread. For my opinion, I told them that there might be some forward movement that's close though its unlikely that it would be called with that close of a scrutiny. Even if he steps forward it seems by interpretation that we have a more lenient view toward QB movement. I did say I would ask the experts though.

I've got a false start. He is simulating action. ^flag

Definite FS.
As a side note, what's with the coaches all over the white and on the field?

Agree, he is clearly moving forward at the snap on each play.

This might be an "ask your supervisor" because it could go either way

Im with the others. My question is, "How did this even begin?" Who told him to do this and why?
-
in some plays it looks like the QB and FB are moving at the same time and just about with the line. Perhaps too picky for my taste

Illegal motion at the snap. I don't think it's sudden enough to be called false start but that's just me.

Perfect for the D to key on by watching game film! Face to face with a LB each time may make him stop it quicker than we could :-)
