I'm surprised I haven't seen this on Refsripes, since I got it Sunday (maybe I just missed the post). I can't attest to its accuracy except to say that it's correct for C-USA.

Wrong, but congrats for the game he does get.

It is my understanding that generally we have all agreed NOT to name anyone working a particular bowl beforehand so as not to draw attention (or unsolicited communication) to that individual.
As for afterwards, because anyone can access the information online, it's generally acceptable to use their name.
Not scolding anyone, just providing some background.
Please let me know if I am incorrect.

On the contrary, there have been complete postings of bowl game officials on this site. Not recently but historically. Why the secret?

I think FLBJ's point was don't say someone is working a game until you know for sure.

I believe supervisors would prefer the assignments not be rolled out on "social media" and the names be kept under wraps until "game time". I know this is an "official's site" but, to keep the integrity of the process, the names should be kept quiet - which I believe is the proper procedure.

I agree Red. I know for a fact one of the major conferences specifically prohibit posting their bowl assignments on social media. I would say this counts here too.

This is the main reason. Many 'non-official' types read this forum as well. After the game is over, feel free to name/praise/criticize (in a 'teaching/learning' sort of way) but until then, preferably no names.
