Title: Arkansas vs Missouri " tuck rule"?
Post by: golfingref on November 28, 2014, 10:43:22 PM
Towards end of first half, Missouri QB hit and ball comes loose. Ruled fumble on field. Replay overturns to incomplete pass because arm coming forward. QB appeared to be bringing ball back down, "tucking" it. Just curious some takes on this and if the intent of the QB, trying to throw the ball vs tucking it, has any bearing on the ruling.

Any intentional forward movement of the arm starts a forward pass. If the arm comes forward and the ball comes out, it's a pass.
