Title: NFL Visor Rule?
Post by: BoBo on April 23, 2015, 08:22:04 PM
Are NFL players allowed to wear tinted facemark shields??

Do they need to have some Drs. permit?

I ask this because I am working in a semi pro league using NFL rules

"Helmets, face protectors
(a) Helmet with all points of the chin strap (white only) fastened and facemask attached. Facemasks must not be more
than ⅝-inch in diameter and must be made of rounded material; transparent materials are prohibited. Clear
(transparent) plastic eye shields are optional. Tinted eye shields may be worn only after the League office is supplied
with appropriate medical documentation and approval is subsequently granted. The League office has final approval. "

Better check with the league - usually they ignore this rule.
