Just thinking on a slow day:
What does the NFL do with all the money gathered due to fines? - any one know?
-
The $1,000,000 fine could be used to fine tune the PSI measuring devices. The big scary tires on my big scary SUV look less inflated .ie.. deflated when its -10F than when its +80F, so maybe they should have some sorta' gauge for that, too. Am unsure if Tom Shady..whoops... Brady can draw unemployment during his suspension, but I believe he has a wife that works. Saving 4 weeks of Brady paychecks should enable the Pats to pay the fine without increasing the price on Kraft frozen peas.
I believe the fines go to the NFL Foundation that then goes to NFL Charities, that then goes to.....(fill in the blank).......

Player fines typically go to the Players Association (NFLPA) for distribution to...you guessed it...players.
Typically in the form of health benefits, but it is not entirely implausible that a person fined would be the beneficiary of funds received from their own fine.

I always thought the fines went to charity...

You both are right!
Money goes to "charity" the biggest bulk to NFLPA for retired players
