Where did you get it? I am in the market. I am also in the market for a 15-16 Rule book.

I got mine here: https://doublesdistributors.com/onlineform.php

I'd like to get my hands on one of those
never seen a study guide
but they don't ship it to Brasil

It sickens me how these sites charge $7.25 for shipping on a $15 book.
Even without ordering books from Amazon, the US Postal Service has a "media mail" rate that is designed for sending books at a cheaper rate despite their weight.
I personally refuse to buy books from a retailer that is so obviously inflating their bottom line with shipping charges.
-
Shipping AND "Handling" -- I've always wondered what the difference was. ???

I share your frustration. I always wait for a clinic or the State Meeting and pick one up from a vendor. No S&H charges. tiphat:

Shipping is for the postage and packing material. Handling is for them actually packing it and taking it to the post office.

How can we politely suggest that Redding (or rather his publisher) make these books available on Amazon??
Amazon started as a book retailer...send a big shipment to their distribution center, and suddenly you have availability with no S/H charges. I for one believe in paying for value...there is zero value added by paying someone to pack a book when Amazon does it for free.
I bet Redding would sell a lot more books if people didnt have to tack of 50% of the book for these shenanigans from the merchants that only provide niche officiating gear.
-
I'll never buy another Redding Guide with that 'hidden' markup.
-
you are all making a good argument against me buying one of those online to avoid (and boycott) the S/H charges
But then... how am I supposed to get one?
I have a friend going to NY at the end of June and would love for him to bring me a Reddings

If you want I'll pick one up at our rules clinic this Saturday and send it to you. Not sure where you are but you can PM me with an address if you want.

The seller has to give 15% to Amazon if they sell the book there so the pricing model is different and the margins for the publisher could be much less than selling through Double S. It may be worth it if Amazon drives a lot of leads.

To me, a combination of the rule book and this board is way better than that Study Guide. And they're free.

We distribute our Manual of Football Officiating through a print-on-demand website called Lulu.com. I recommend it highly. The portion of the selling price they take is lower than Amazon, allowing us to offer a lower price there. They also support e-book formats.
