I was reconsidering my decision not to come back. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu did not work out for me schedule wise, they did not have a beginner class at a time that suited me, so I was considering returning to officiate HS football.
But after reading about the unfortunate incident, I have decided not to return.
Let me put this out to the rest of you...even though the chances of this incident occurring again is small, why would I want to take the risk of possibly getting paralyzed for the rest of my life?
Do I sound selfish? Maybe to some and I am not afraid to admit it, as I know this is only going to hurt recruiting efforts, but is the chance of this occurring, no matter how small it is, really worth the risk to my health safety? No it isn't, at least for me.
Thanks for reading tiphat:
