Title: Wrist watch recommendation
Post by: sj_31 on October 20, 2015, 04:08:56 PM
any recommendations on the best watch to reset quickly? I have an old ironman that I really like and use to keep time on the field. Sometimes after 4th down play I will forget to stop or will accidentally reset to 15:00. Would like one that can quickly be set to whatever time. Any input would be appreciated.

I have not worn this watch on the field, but I think it would work -- the Start/Stop buttons are the same. You just have to make sure you won't forget to hit the button or accidentally hit it twice. However, it won't reset.

I'm with you on the Ironman -- it reset on me yesterday. The only reason I wear it is the band is that soft lycra and its comfortable. I'm getting a soft band for the above watch.

This timer is not a wrist watch but IMHO it's ideal for football:

Search for "Robic SC-502" available lots of sites on the web.

- Fits easily in shirt pocket
- Automatically resets to preset when time expires
- Has audible alarm when time expires
- Can be started/stopped (with audible confirmation) while still in pocket by just tapping button.

I've been using it for over 10 years and been very satisfied with it, and IMHO it has lots of advantages over a wrist watch.   I've used it for both game clock and play clock timing.

Big fan of this one. Has a vibration alarm and can be reset to whatever.

This is the watch that NFW supplies to the NFL refs, who use it as their official timing device for NFL games. The watch has customized software, created specifically for sports officials and is perfect for any sport that's based on time.

It also makes a great, everyday sports watch that's easy to use and has some outstanding (and very useful) features.

It's also known to be one of the most comfortable watches on the planet
