Title: Planned loose ball
Post by: Clear Lake ref on November 02, 2015, 06:10:52 PM
Rule says you can not have a planned loose ball play in the vicinity of the snapper.

What's vicinity?

Play in question - 1/10 QB takes snap and sets ball between legs of guard who had taken 1 step back. Ball was set on the ground. Guard picks up and run.

Thoughts?

This is the fumblerooski and is what the rule was designed to prevent.
