Per NCAA rules, if a ball is kicked into the end zone, isn't touched by either team, and bounces back onto the field of play, is it a live ball?
-
I'm just guessing that breaking the plane of the goal line is what will cause the ball to become dead if not fielded by R.
Not NCAA and have wondered the same thing on occasion.

Rule 6-1-7a: When a free kick untouched by Team B touches the ground on or behind Team B’s goal line, the ball becomes dead and belongs to Team B.

In NCAA either team can catch/recover the kick in B's end zone if it doesn't touch ground in the end zone.

Thanks for the reference and reply. So, if B catches it prior to it touching the ground in the end zone then he will either need to bring it out, or take a knee to down it?

Just to clarify, the ball doesnt need to go into the EZ on the fly before being grounded....if it rolls into the EZ untouched, still dead ball, correct?

And if you don't take a knee... well, this is what happens (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZfyw1EMdsU)

To clarify, the ball must touch the ground in the end zone untouched by a player to become dead.
