Good question. If you flag it, the ejection is automatic.

No question in my view. UNS + disqualification.  Can't believe they only had the UNS.

I'm a Hokie, and I couldn't believe that he wasn't tossed. I'm sure that Ron Cherry had a reason, but I was stunned he stayed in the game.

Mr. Nicholas was suspended for the first half by Coach Beamer.  Wouldn't surprise me if the ACC decided that he should take the rest of the afternoon off, too.

I am sure the conference had Cherry in THIS game for a reason.  As the most visible R in the conference, seems fitting that they chose him to work the game.  I don't know that this figured into Cherry's thinking but maybe he did not want to spoil  the event for Beamer by having the DQ.  And maybe Cherry perceived the contact as accidental.
