Bob Kucera, member of the Dallas chapter had a heart attack and passed away this morning. He had been working as a Replay Official in the Sun Belt the past few years, but was a past officer in TASO, past president of DFOA, and never met an person that he didn't like. He was very well respected by those that met and/or worked with him. His faith, family, and football were the most important things in his life.
You will be missed, Kooch. RIP

He was active on here for a while and still read everything out here the last time I talked to him. His username on here was texref. He will be missed.

I served with Bob on the TASO board, and never met anyone more devoted to the betterment of this avocation of ours. I will definitely miss him.

When I was honored to be the white hat for the 2010 private and parochial all star game in Dallas, Bob was our contact. He was a great host, and loved the game. He took the time to talk with me and I learned a lot in the day I spent with him. I respected and liked him. This is a loss for high school football.
