NFL - Bears/Steelers - blocked Field Goal returned by B (Doesn't cross NZ) - Fumbles at A1 and ball rolls into EndZone - Where ball is Batted by A out of A's End Zone...
NFL - Enforce from Fumble spot - 1/2 distance to Goal - Extend Period...
What is NCAA enforcement??

Same. It's a foul by the team not in possession, so enforcement is from the basic spot. The basic spot on a running play is the end of the run. The end of the run is spot of the fumble. Most casual fans will think this is a safety since A fouled in their own end zone, but it's not.

Note that the period is extended even though the "statement of the penalty includes loss of down," because the foul is by the team not in possession.

NCAA rule says foul by "Team A" is a loss of down, but I think we can properly extend the period here since they probably intended to make it "Team in possession" and not get too technical with the wording.

Another unique rules application from this weekend
This differs from the situation at the end of the ATL/DET game: a TD was ruled on the field (stopping the clock), but review ruled the runner down short of goal line and the clock should have been running. Therefore zap 10. Since there was only 8 secs left on the clock, game is ended. Since there is no foul by Team B, the period/game is not extended.

I believe Morningrise is referring to the fact that the exception for loss of down penalties not extending the period only applies to fouls by the team in possession (3-2-3-a-1).
