I’ve got targeting.

R is a defenseless player  The K player could have lowered his “strike zone”, but chose not to & made forcible contact above the shoulders.  In addition, frame-by-frame appears to show helmet-to-helmet contact.

Being defenseless is irrelevant under NFHS as it pertains to targeting.

When I saw the video the first time in real time, I thought, "That was targeting."  When I slowed it down, I thought that was a real bad case of targeting....not that there is ever a good case of it.

I also agree that he could have moved his head to the side.  Players need to take the foul away by learning how to tackle properly. Of course, that all goes back on coaching.
