Title: Two Firsts

Had two game situations I have not experienced in over 30 years. We had two 2-point touchdowns and an onside kick returned for a TD. Wild night.

Had quite a few Team A TDs for 2-points over 43 seasons.  Only one Team B 2-point TD in that time.

Perhaps you missed it, but Oklahoma returned an interception in their own end zone 104 yards for a 2-point TD on a Try against Texas Tech last night.  Not one of Tech's more stellar moments.

Some of us have been around long enough to remember when the defense could not score on a Try.

The onside returned for a TD, did the receiver catch it on the bounce and on the fly?  I've seen it happen before and he goes quickly through the kicking team running right toward him.

I saw a HUDL highlight last week that made the top 5 plays of the week.  It was not in Texas.  Onside kick took a good bounce and a kicking team player recovered it on the fly and ran for a TD.  I am not sure what the rules for NFHS are but I would have thought that would be dead.

Per NFHS rules, the ball is dead when the kickers recover a free kick. (6-1-6)

MaxPreps never lets the rules get in the way of a good highlight.
