Title: Snap Infraction?
Post by: fudilligas on September 13, 2019, 01:24:15 PM
quarterback A1 lines up 5 yards behind the snapper.....back A2 lines up behind the left guard ....snapper snaps the ball but does not immediately release it....A1 runs to the right as if he has the ball...A2 also runs to the right and takes the ball from the snapper who is holding the ball behind him through his legs and continues to run with the ball....in reality we have a fake snap to A1...

is this an illegal snap and if so does the play immediately become dead or do we allow the play to continue and make this a live ball foul or is this a legal play

My murky memory recalls this play as a "center rush" in my daze of youth and the reason for 7-3-2a.
