Title: Illegal forward pass

Team A QB 7 in shotgun formation...He attempts a pass, which is batted by B45 behind LOS (ball didnt go past LOS)...Qb immediately (right place at right time) catches it, and throws it again to A11 for 15 yard gain.

Illegal or legal?

Illegal, rule 7-3-2-d. Note that this is different for scrimmage kicks, where you can have as many kicks as you like as long as the kicked ball does not cross the neutral zone.

Thank you...so, if it happens on a 4th down play, and they only gain 5 yards (short of the line to gain), Defense takes the penalty? Go back to previous spot, 5 yards & Team B gets the ball there? Or decline and take the ball where the play ended?

You will learn better if you work this out with the Rule book.  Kalle pointed you to the specific rule reference.  Now, check the penalty statement for that entire rule Article.  Then report back to us with the ruling.
