In view of recent events, do you think there's any chance that TASO will revisit the "no kneeling" policy for officials??
-
I do not anticipate there will be any direct announcements from TASO unless this is still a front and center issue once games are set to begin. IMO the statement would be, if you want to kneel, then kneel. There would be no repercussions for doing so.
-
In my humble opinion, I would think that TASO would want/encourage the officiating crew to remain as "neutral" as possible during all phases of the contest, which would likely be to simply stand, as a crew, as we've always done. My thought is that TASO would desire crew "uniformity" above all...

If you kneel, you put the entire crew's safety at risk. We are already the bad guys to everyone in the stadium, why do something to intensify that fact?
Stay in the dressing room for the anthem if it's that big a deal for you. Save political statements for a time when you aren't being paid to be neutral.
